New Research Intern, LI Jingchen

We have a new research intern from Hong Kong.

Hello! I’m LI Jingchen, and just call me Jimmy. I’m very happy to join the NUS-HCI Lab, and I look forward to working with all of you.

Currently, I am an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. For the past two years, I have been conducting research in bioinformatics, in detail is using deep learning methods to solve bioinformatics problems. And now I have been seeking an opportunity to explore new areas, and I believe human-computer interaction is a perfect fit.

HCI is an exciting area of research, and I want to learn more about it. I have confidence that my knowledge of deep learning and my studying ability will help me integrate into HCI research very quickly. Moreover, working in HCI provides a sense of accomplishment as there could be a time we see our techniques being used in our daily life. I’m excited to be a part of that process and believe that I will contribute significantly to the research team.

I’m grateful for the chance to be a member of the lab and hope that we could collaborate on exciting research projects.
