Current Modules
Design of Interactive Systems (CS3248)
Spring 2012, Every Fri. 12:00 - 14:00 at COM1-202
The module focuses on the design of interactive computing systems that enhance and support the cognitive and creative processes of their users. It emphasizes the creative design of innovative solutions. Throughout the course, students will learn the design principles and interactive solutions in application domains such as safety, security, surveillance, biomedical informatics and healthcare, or in specific technological areas such as interactive and digital media, social computing, tangible user interface, human robot interaction, and mobile HCI. They will put into practice various design principles through small-scaled design assignments. They will also learn use user-centered evaluation methods for evaluating the design. |
Interactive System Project II (CS4202)
Spring 2012, Every Mon. 9:00 - 11:00 at COM1-202
The aim of this module is to allow students to apply design and engineering principles to interactive system development and management by creating high-fidelity prototypes and iteratively improving their design via rapid implementation and evaluation cycles. The goal is to work on an innovative and useful real world application to serve the society. |
